The Unit operates under the guidance of the Dog Directorate, with leadership including Director of Dog Unit, currently acting Superintendent Daniel K Yangen.
The primary purpose of the K9 Dog Unit is to provide tactical support to law enforcement operations. Our dogs are trained in narcotics detection, explosives detection, suspect apprehension, and search and rescue.
